Under-forest Bamboo fungus cultivation garners considerable incomes

Recently, Bamboo fungi cultivated under bamboo forest of Ziran Village, Shunchang County, Fujian Province of China have entered into second picking period. The average mu output on dried Bamboo fungus comes to 10 kg and the first batch of Bamboo fungi have been basically sold out till now. Over 10 households that engage in Bamboo fungus cultivation have generated the revenues of more than 700,000 CNY.
Shunchang County covers an forestland area of 2.37 million mu, which indicates huge potentials for development of under-forest economy. In 2014, the county took the initiative to launch Bamboo fungus cultivation under forest land in China, up to now, over 20 households have been assisted to end poverty through the industry.
According to know, 3 batches of under-forest Bamboo fungi could be harvested per year and the present average mu output on dried Bamboo fungi comes to 15 kg, with the market price of 360 CNY per kg, this year, the anticipated mu output value achieves 5400 CNY, after deducting 1250 CNY of costs for each mu, gross revenues obtain nearly 900,000 CNY.
