Bamboo fungus cultivation: Annual output value reaches 60,000 CNY per mu

“2 CNY could be earned by picking 1kg of Bamboo fungi, i have earned 198 CNY within 12 days while the picking work shall be continued for at least 2 months,” said one of villagers working in Bamboo fungus base of Bailiu Village, Yunyang County, Sichuan Province of China with passion.
According to principle of the base, Bamboo fungus cultivation was launched in April and picking work was started in the middle of July. Till now, over 10,000 kg of fresh Bamboo fungi have been picked, 890 kg of dried Bamboo fungi have been produced while surrounding 200 poor masses have been leaded to get jobs in the base. To calculate by present market price of 600 CNY per kg, each mu of Bamboo fungus land earns 60,000 CNY of annual production value, which implies considerable revenues.
