Shiitake cultivation propels farmers to end poverty and grow rich

Now, when walking into Shiitake greenhouses of Mianxi Village, Zhongfang County, Hunan Province of China, roar of machines could be heard while piles of Shiitake sticks could be seen.
According to know, last year, Mianxi Village established 30 Shiitake greenhouses with the gross costs of 600,000 CNY, after the construction, property rights were given to local poor households for the development of Shiitake industry.
This year, the village intends to build another 50 greenhouses, besides, with the support of newly-built Jinhong Specialized Cooperative, 122 poor households bought shares, in February, they conducted the inoculation and cultivation of 600,000 Shiitake sticks and generated the gross incomes of over 600,000 CNY.
