For years, Shengshuihu Modern Agricultural Garden in Yongchuan District, Chongqing City, Sichuan Province has been building itself into green and ecological mushroom village through soil improvement with rices and mushrooms cultivation by wheat straws. Now, it has become the largest gathering place of mushroom production in Chongqing City, local villagers have also entered into flourishing path through mushroom cultivation.
“The mushroom cultivation here does not require fertilizer in cultivation field, but it relies on ecological greening to soil played by crops and realizes rice-vegetable rotation,” introduces related principal from local cooperative, adding that rice cultivation in mushroom field facilitates purifying the germs in soil, thus reaching the effect of soil improvement.
According to know, the cooperative utilizes wheat straws, cow dung, sawdust and other agricultural wastes to cultivate Oyster mushroom, Straw mushroom, Drumstick mushroom, Button mushroom, Enoki mushroom, Monkey head mushroom, Shiitake, Bamboo fungus and other 10 varieties. Besides, 16 mushroom factories have been successively built in Shengshuihu Modern Agricultural Garden, bag-cultivation scale obtains 100 million bags, the annual mushroom output totals 50,000 tons or so while the output value achieves 520 million CNY.
