Sheyang County propels mushroom industry to boom local masses

Sheyang County of Jiangsu Province is the famous county of mushroom in China, the varieties include Enoki, King oyster and Pleurotus cornucopiae. In recent years, local agricultural resource development bureau has been also providing powerful support for the development of mushroom industry.
Sheyang County holds 10 provincial weak-economy villages, Siming Town accounts 5 of them, the town carries a long history of mushroom cultivation, however, due to low-lying terrain, vertical and horizontal branching stream, abundant straws and cottonseed hulls which are needed for mushroom cultivation are hard to go in and out, which becomes a bottleneck that hinders the development of industry.
Since 2015, local agricultural resource development bureau has been raising 49.50 million CNY of financial funds to support relevant facilities, which brings about convenient traffic condition. According to know, Siming Town keeps 5000 mushroom cultivators, the annual material-intake capacity comes to above 100,000 tons, the production value is at 1 billion or so while the pure incomes total at least 500 million CNY.
