Desirable development trend of mushroom industry promotes farmers to raise revenues

In recent years, Lanxi County, Heilongjiang Province has been highlighting the core of “industrial development, raise revenues for farmers”, positively adjusting agricultural cultivation structure, vigorously developing mushroom industry, driving farmers to end poverty and generate incomes.
To take Hongsheng Mushroom Cooperative as an instance, the cooperative absorbs 21 households of member, mainly engages in Oyster mushroom, Shiitake and Black fungus cultivation. In 2016, more than 150 households were driven to embark on mushroom cultivation by the cooperative and the gross production value obtained 2.6 million CNY. This year, the cooperative plans to cultivate 350,000 bags of Oyster mushroom, 200,000 bags of Shiitake and 1 million bags of Black fungus. Besides, the cooperative is adding a production line for Black fungus bags, after the construction, the estimated annual production on Black fungus bag could reach 1 million. “For recent days, it is the picking period of Oyster mushroom in the cooperative, we sell them to large-scale vegetable wholesale markets by the price of 2 CNY per kg and the benefits comes to 60,000 CNY,” said the principal of the cooperative with joy.
