In eastern mountain of Dashiqiao City, Liaoning Province, mushroom industry is vigorously evolving by virtues of small investment, short cultivation period and quick efficiency. In order to enable the mushrooms to stand out from the crowd, the general manager of Yingkou Modern Ecological Farming Technology Co., LTD chooses to go green way of mushroom cultivation.
Huangtuling Town is located in eastern mountain area where holds advantageous natural environment and provides favorable conditions for mushroom cultivation, mushroom cooperatives and companies are emerging in local areas.
“Common mushroom sticks are made of sawdust, which manifests insufficient nutrition for cultivation, hence fertilization is required and Ammonia is therefore inevitable. My home-made sticks are made of straw, soybean and corncob, which implies sufficient nutrients and does not require fertilization. What’s more, the mushrooms grow from them are green and certificated,” said Mr. Yang, the general manager with passionate, adding that the sticks could be reused as fodder for flocks and herds, which is environmentally friendly.
In addition to Pleurotus cornucopiae, Mr. Yang also cultivates Yellow Enoki mushroom, Shiitake and other 10 mushroom varieties which enjoy desirable sales volume. Currently, he is also building mushroom bases on the hill, the first-phase project aims to reach 20 greenhouses.
