Six key technology on mushroom cultivation in summer (Part Two)

5. Spawn-running management: In hot summer when temperature exceeds 30 degrees, cultivators should place mushroom bags to the ground in a single-layer, tiled and bulked way. In addition, the venue for spawn-running should be enhanced on overshadowing and ventilation should be strengthened. When necessary, you could spray cold water so as to cool down the temperature of inside mushroom bags to 33 degrees. Another key enemy during this period is pest (mites and flies). In every 4-6 days, you could spray 2000 times of cream-type pesticide such as Deltamethrin, high -effect Cypermethrin and Omethoate to surrounding environment, which shows evident and efficient insecticidal effect.
Special note: During the period of spawn-running, DDVP should be strictly prohibited, or misshapen mushrooms will dramatically form.
In high-temperature season, too-early palletizing causes raised temperature of material, as a result, fruiting conditions can’t be met, the propagation time for spawns is delayed while fruiting time is postponed. In high-temperature season, proper method for bud-pressing is: In daytime or night, open up two sides of greenhouse and uncover thin films so that cold air directly attacks fungus sacks. Besides, at noon, you could spray well water to inside and outsides of greenhouse, the ground and space of greenhouse. When spawns become fully-grown, mushrooms are indicatively fruiting when you feel starched, stretched and stout at the press of fungus sacks, faint yellow water drops secret on surface of spawns or granular primordia occur.
6. Fruiting management: In summer of early-autumn fruiting, cultivators should separate each layer of fungus sack with bamboo poles so as to eliminate temperature rise and burning fungus that result in fruiting failure of next flush of mushroom or bacterial contamination. And when it comes to water-spraying, you could do it at 10:00 am and 16:00 pm each day. Along with the growth of mushroom bodies, the requirements on oxygen and moisture should be fiercely reinforced. Cultivators should spray water from small to large amount, air vents should be opened from a quarter to whole status, meanwhile, be sure to strengthen the ventilation day and night. In rainy or foggy day, be sure to strengthen the ventilation and spray less water so as to promote the quick growth of mushroom bodies. In case of windy day, spraying more water and retaining humidity is wise while you should moderately close the vents so as to eliminate sere mushroom bodies. After spraying water, be sure not to close the vents of greenhouse, or mushroom bodies will be oxygen deficit and nutrient transport will be hindered, which finally results in yellow and dead output. Special attention: Yellow and dead mushrooms are mainly resulted from immediate close of vents after water-spraying. All in all, during the whole growth period of mushroom, cultivators should always create a favorable humidity environment and maintain fresh air. In high-temperature season, fence about each fungus layer with bamboo poles, which makes for quick fruiting.
