The industry transformation from Red Date to Mushroom propels poverty removal

Qingjian County of Shanxi Province used to be famous for red dates, local villages and towns took red dates as the pillar industry as well. However, it leaded poor development tendency less than satisfactory. Along with farmers’ broaden horizon, new-type agricultural industries are emerging one after another. Let’s take Shuangsheng Farming Cooperative as the instance, the cooperative mainly engages in Shiitake cultivation, during 2 years time, it has been vigorously leading surrounding villagers to remove the hat of poverty and grow prosperous.
In 2016, Shuangsheng Farming Cooperative newly built 45 greenhouses and inputted 2000 mushroom sticks in total. This year, 200 greenhouses are expected to be built while 200 poor households could be driven to embark on mushroom cultivation.
