Recently, invited by farmers in Fangshan District, Beijing City of China, mushroom technicians from local Agricultural Research Institute conducted the feasibility study on mushroom cultivation in waste cave.
It is understood that the selected cave has been formed through marble exploration, which holds the length of 5000 meters, the width of 10 meters and inside flat situation. According to actual status of the cave, technicians firstly suggest farmers to firstly increase the equipment for illumination, then cultivate King oyster mushroom and Pleurotus cornucopiae which require less oxygen, after they fruit, farmers could improve the environmental conditions on ventilation, humidity and illumination in accordance with actual growth status.
