Starting from scratch: Zhangjiazhai Town energetically develops mushroom industry

For days, the villagers in Mengzishu Village, Sinan County, Guizhou Province of China have been busy picking Black fungi in the base, making mushroom sticks and loading them into trucks.
According to know, Mengzishu Village holds low terrain, in every rainy season, farming cannot be realized for water accumulation, which resulted in serious poverty to local villagers. Since 2011, under the positive promotion of local village secretary, Mr. Zhang, mushroom industry has been settled in the village. In 2013, under his leadership, Mengzishu Village transferred 300 mu of land to develop mushroom industry.
“So far, we have cultivated 800,000 Shiitake sticks, 2 million of Black fungus sticks, last year, the per capita income reached 8800 CNY,” said Mr. Zhang with a will.
