The management techniques during the fruiting period of Button mushroom

1. Control temperature and humidity: Mushroom fruiting usually occurs 20 days after the earthing, under that circumstance, you should maintain the temperature to a range of 20-24 degrees and keep the humidity to a range of 80%-85%, during the course, be sure to eradicate any water-spraying on material surface. Too wet material surface results in poor ventilation, spawns are hard to extend into soil layer while too dry material surface causes sparse spawns. In a word, spawns present white and robust under suitable temperature and humidity.
2. Strengthen the ventilation: Keep relative air humidity to 90% or so and maintain the temperature to a range of 12-18 degrees. You could enhance the amount of water-spraying along with the augment of mushroom and the growth of mushroom body. Besides, when you spray water, be sure to enhance the ventilation of mushroom house and particularly eradicate this action under high temperature and before mushroom picking.
3. Augment the amount of water-spraying: When mushrooms have grown to bean size, you could spray waters once or twice a day so as to hasten the growth of tiny mushrooms, after, cut off water supply for 2 days, gradually decrease the amount of water-spraying in accordance with the growth of mushroom. It should be noted that you should spray less water in cloudy day and rainy day. After the fruiting, spray water in a light and frequent way.
4. Lightly pick and place mushrooms: During the fruiting phase, you should pick mushrooms every day. When picking mushrooms, twist the base and try not to take compost out, then get rid of the slimy base, and be sure to gently handle it.
5. Spray lime water: After you pick each flush of mushroom, you should timely remove wizened, yellow root and dead mushrooms so as to prevent Green Mold. Fill the hollow up with soil. What’s more, keep the material surface tidy and clean. After the disposal, spray 1% lime water and then conduct routine management, after 7-10 days or so, the second flush of mushroom occurs.
