What to note when applying Carbendazim?

Carbendazim holds the advantages of wide, evident and long sterilization effect. However, during actual production, some issues have been brought about for lack of common senses.
1. When you purchase Carbendazim, firstly note the period of validity, the one holding 1 years date of manufacture is preferred and you should eliminate the products that lost warranty, and be sure to increase the amount of application. Most important of all, give up the one which has completely become invalid.
2. Carbendazim shows poor control effect to Hair Mould and Rhizopus, hence when you apply it, moderately lift the PH Value of compost so as to inhibit the growth of Hair Mould and Rhizopus. What’s more, due to the merit of high temperature resistance on Rhizopus, when you apply it, be sure to ferment and sterilize on compost so as to kill Mold. Furthermore, Monkey head mushroom, White fungus and Black fungus are particularly sensitive to Carbendazim and therefore should be avoided.
3. You should strictly control the concentration of Carbendazim when you mix materials with Carbendazim, excessive amount not only increases the cost, but also affects the growth of spawns, which finally results in the contamination on sporocarps. And when you mix materials, firstly dissolve it into water and stir evenly, then mix again after combining with materials.
4. Carbendazim is easy to resolve and lose effect under alkaline environment, hence lime should be averted when you mix materials and never place Carbendazim and the solution of lime for too-long time.
Carbendazim is easy to make sundry fungi produce drug resistance, mushroom farmers should avoid long time application and could alternatively apply it with other pesticides. (Source: China Cultivation Technology Web.)
