Water temperature is of crucial importance during the cultivation of Straw mushroom

Straw mushrooms hold abundant nutrition, tasty flavor and are well welcomed by customers. However, during the cultivation phase, improper adjustment on water temperature causes great influence to final output. In order to successfully cultivate Straw mushrooms, you could firstly know about its growth characteristic.
Straw mushrooms fall under with high-temperature type fungus, the superior temperature for the spore bud is at 40 degrees or so, the superior temperature for the spawn growth is at 35 degrees. Then temperature range that is lower than 12 degrees or higher than 42 degrees inhibits the growth of spawns of Straw mushroom. Besides, Straw mushrooms fit for high humidity, the ideal condition is 70% on water content of compost and 90%-95% on relative air humidity. When relative air humidity is below 80%, sporocarps lead tardy growth trend, the surface presents coarse and unpolished. And when it is higher than 96%, mushroom bodies are easy to turn dead or suffer from diseases. In a word, Straw mushrooms hold a strict condition for water temperature. When you spray water, be sure to adjust the water temperature to room temperature, which is usually neglected by mushroom farmers. What’s more, it is preferred to spray water in the morning or night, you should also master various method of spraying in accordance with different stages of sporocarps growth of Straw mushroom.
When sporocarps are still in tiny stage, you have to spray water in small amount and in a light way. During the Pinhead Phase and Small Button Phase of sporocarps, be sure to stop spraying water on material surface. When you find that the compost is quite dry, it is doable to spray water to aisles and ground of mushroom house so as to boost indoor air humidity.
