China:Mushroom annual output value over 200 billion that become the fifth largest agricultural crop

At present, it is reported that the commercial cultivation of mushroom crop species are about 60 in China，and will up to 100 to 150 species in the next 30 years. Recently, some traditional species continue to maintain the advantage such as Shiitake mushroom, White mushroom, Oyster mushroom, Black fungus, Straw mushroom and Enoki mushroom. At the same time, some rare species gradually popularize such as King oyster mushroom, Agaricus blazei, Pleurotus nebrodensis, Pleurotus citrinopileatus and Agrocybe aegerita. Panus giganteus, Stropharia rugoso-annulata and Sparasis crispa are also continuous breeding and cultivation. Passing the rapid development for 30 years, the production of edible mushroom has been more than 28 million tons per year, and annual output value over two hundred billion. Now edible mushroom become the fifth agricultural crops in China, which rank only second to grain, oil, fruit, vegetables.
