The crop rotation between rice and Black fungus flourishes

“Currently, the cultivation scale attains nearly 100 mu, each mu of land could absorb 10,000 Black fungus sticks, After the picking, three days are needed for drying step, each mu of land could produce 750kg or so and the purchasing price is 50 CNY per kg, the production value is very considerable,” said Mr. Lu, the principal of the mushroom cooperative in Luming City, Hezhou City, Guangxi Province, China.
According to Mr. Lu, the new-type agricultural mode has been applied on Black fungus cultivation. Every year after farmers harvest rice in October, they begin to arrange sticks in the field, then picking could be continued till the next April, which realizes crop rotation between rice and Black fungus. These two years, the production capacity of Black fungus has been fiercely hiked from 600,000 sticks to 10 million sticks on account of the virtues such as less land coverage and quick efficiency.
Till now, the cultivation capacity of Black fungus in Hezhou City has exceeded 10 million sticks, the anticipated production value could be nearly 50 million CNY, which expanded the horizontal layout of the industry.
