Mushroom cultivation holds no use for fertilizer, which facilitates realizing land protection. What’s more, mushroom cultivation is not restricted by territory. Forest land, waste land or even courtyard could be considered as the place for mushroom cultivation.
According to introduction, Shuangcheng District, Heilongjiang Province annually produces 1.26 tons of corn, after the production, straws could be reused for mushroom cultivation, animal dung and agricultural wastes could be prepared for base stock production. To calculate roughly, 4000-5000 kg of straw and dung could be consumed in each mu of mushroom land. In 2016, Shuangcheng District realized the trial cultivation capacity of 500 mu, 2500 tons of straw and other wastes were consumed with the mushroom production of 2000 tons and the direct economic benefit of 2.55 million CNY. This year, the area of mushroom cultivation is expected to reach 10,000 mu, the estimated consumption on straw and agricultural wastes could be 50,000 tons, the estimated mushroom production is reaching 40,000 tons while 51 million CNY of economic benefits could be obtained.
