The control technology on Blackhead Disease during Enoki mushroom production

Blackhead Disease is mainly caused by bacterial factor which dramatically affects the output and lowers the quality of Enoki mushroom.
1. Occurrence conditions: High-temperature and high-humidity condition are chief culprit, the foul water sprayed on sporocarps is another crucial cause. Poor ventilation also accelerates the development of disease.
2. Control measures:
A. Maintain the sanitation of cultivation field, timely get rid of malformed mushrooms and waste materials. Mushroom houses, shelves and tools should also be thoroughly disinfected by 2% of bleaching powder.
B. Drastically sterilize on compost.
C. During the fruiting period of Enoki mushroom, control the temperature to below 15 degrees, try to avoid mushroom from fruiting under high-temperature or high-humidity season. Under high-temperature condition, strengthen the ventilation and dissipate heat. When temperature suddenly hikes, be sure to adopt cooling measures such as opening windows, covering films and shading. However, too wide temperature fluctuation should be kept off so as to prevent the formation of water film.
D. When you find contaminated or unsound mushrooms, timely pick them out and then strengthen the ventilation, reduce the water-spraying and quickly lower the temperature. If possible, you could spray 5% lime water on material surface or 500-1000 times of bleaching powder solution, finish it in every two days.
