Zhejiang: Wild Cordyceps takaomontana found on the Yunhe Phoenix Mountain for the first time

Scientists from Zhejiang Yunhe Edible Fungi found wild Cordyceps takaomontana on the Yunhe Phoenix Mountain for the first time. It consists of two parts, a fungal endosclerotium (caterpillar) and stroma. The fungal endosclerotium is 2-3 cm length, 0.4-0.7 cm width with a special exterior.
Cordyceps takaomontana is fungi that belongs to Cordyceps Genus which has high nutritious function and broad market prospect. The scientists has brought it to the laboratory for the next research.
