Button mushroom cultivation successfully solved the disposition problem of cow dung

As the great county of beef rearing, the breeding stock in Fengdu County, Chongqing City has reached above 200,000 heads. Local farmers utilize cow dung to cultivate Button mushrooms all year round, which not only protects environmental health, but also lowers the costs of mushroom production. 
“Utilizing cow dung to cultivate Button mushroom implies countless benefits such as low-cost and pollution-free and above 95% of the rate of emergence, the produces are in high quality, nice-looking appearance while owing strong market competitiveness,” said one of local mushroom farmers passionately.
According to incomplete statistics, in 2016, Fengdu County cultivated 2000 mu of Button mushrooms in total, the accumulative total consumption of dry cow dung came to 11,000 tons. Although it fails to fundamentally solve the disposition problem of cow dung, along with the gradual development of Button mushroom industry, the consumption capacity is going to increase year by year.
