Anti-season Shiitakes thrive mountain people

Recently, the masses in Ningqiang County, Shanxi Province have been busying conducting the bagging, sterilizing and inoculating for the next year’s anti-season production.

It is understood that Ningqiang County is a mountain agriculture county which holds the resource and geographical advantages on the development Shiitake Industry. In order to enrich the baskets of local city, village and the surrounding masses, through repeating investigation and demonstration, Ningqiang County took the lead in introducing the technology of “Anti-season Shiitake cultivation”in the whole city, which has gotten succeeded in trial cultivation and promoted the area of 150 mu, accordingly, other local towns and villages have been launched the cultivation. In 2015, the cultivation area has been enlarged to 1000 mu, and this year, the area comes to 1800 mu, the cultivation capacity reaches 12 million bags and the gross incomes could be 100 million CNY.
