Beijing: 15.6 kg “The King of Maitake” was found in Changping District

Recently, a “The King of Maitake” was found in Changping District, Beijing, which is 15.6 kg weight. This mushroom belong to a mushroom farmer who live in Cibeiyu Village, Yanshousi Township, Changping District. Mr. Zhang introduced that Maitake has high nourishment value, and he has been cultivating Maitake so many years. This year, he cultivated 50,000 bags Maitake and there are 10,000kg Maitake output from the second harvest season. The average price of Maitake is CNY 20/ kg and sales revenue reach at 20,000 CNY.
Now, Maitake cultivation has become an important way to improve local farmers’ income. Changping District cultivate 2 million Maitake bags in 2014, which was predicted to have 800,000 kg harvest and output value 16 million CNY.
