“This year, I totally cultivated more than 1000 square meters of Gastrodia elata, the anticipated output amounts to 1500kg,” said one Gastrodia farmer in Taiping Village, Shanxi Province passionately, adding that today, he has harvested more than 150kg of Gastrodia elata and earned an income of 4500 CNY or so.

This year, since the settlement of working team for poverty alleviation, they have been utilizing local mature technology bases and nature conditions to encourage local poor households to positively develop Gastrodia elata cultivation. According to rough statistics, the village totally cultivates more than 3000 square meters of Gastrodia elata, the expected income totals 300,000 CNY or so.
