Shandong: 2013 Jinxiang County’s edible mushroom output ranks first in Shandong Province

In recent years, Jinxiang County continues to improve the management service level of edible mushroom production, productive positivity of farmers and edible mushroom production efficiency. On the Fourth Shandong Edible Fungi Association Expanded Council Meeting, Jinxiang County, which total produced 345,000 tons edible mushroom in 2013, has ranked the first in Shandong Province.
It is said that Jinxiang County mainly cultivate Yellow Enoki Mushroom, and its cultivation area has broke 29 million ㎡. The output has reached at 345, 000 tons with output value nearly RMB2.37 billion. They do not only cultivate Yellow Enoki Mushroom, White Enoki Mushroom, Cloud Ear Fungus, Oyster Mushroom, but also add some new varieties such as King Oyster Mushroom, Pleurotus nebrodensis, Seafood mushroom, Collybia albuminosa and Agrocybe cylindracea. With the rapid development of Jinxiang County’s edible mushroom industry, the edible mushroom industry has became one of the four pillar industries in Jinxiang County, Shandong Province.
