1. The cultivation field should be thoroughly disinfected and remained clean: it is forbidden to pile up sundries or leave about pollutants in mushroom house.
2. The temperature in the late period should be moderately controlled: the optimal temperature during the growth period of sporocarps on Oyster mushroom is in 5-20 degrees, when people find that spawns have become matured, they could increase temperature difference and create the diurnal temperature difference of 10 degrees, which facilitate the formation of sporocarps. In latter period, mushroom buds are hard to form or keep dying in too high temperature.
3. Relative air humidity should be moderately adjusted: the optimal relative air humidity during the spawn running period is about 70%, the same during the fruiting period is about 90%. When it is higher than 95%, sundry fungi, diseases and pests are easy to happen, mushroom caps are easier to turn colors and rot as well.
4. Appropriate water should be emphasized: after fruiting, excessive water may let mushroom bodies turn black or rotted, under the condition of too low humidity on base stock, it may cause wrinkled, cracked or dead tiny mushrooms. The appropriate method is to lightly spray a small amount of water, which could supplement the moisture in base stock.
5. Direct sunlight should be avoided: sunlight is not needed during the growth period of spawns, while the light intensity of common table lamp is needed during the growth period sporocarp. Direct sunlight may cause yellow and dry surface of mushroom body, too weak light intensity may result in thin stipes and mushroom bodies which are lack of caps.
6. Poor ventilation should be quitted: during the fruiting period, sporocarps are hard to form or become misshapen under the condition of oxygen-poor. A large number of dead mushrooms are easy to see in dry and hot wind or dry and cold wind, hence ventilation should be lightly and stably given.
7. Timely picking should be kept in mind: too early picking may cause hypogenetic mushroom bodies and affect the production while too late picking may lead to quality losses and weight saving. What’s more, ejected spores may affect the growth of next flush of mushroom. In general, it is proper to pick mushrooms when people find that caps are fully-developed and spores are not ejected yet.
