The county is positively pushing the development of Shiitake Industry

It is reported that currently, relevant provincial leaders from Shanxi Province went to the Shiitake base in Wanrong County, Shanxi Province for field guidance. The acquisition agreements was also successfully concluded and signed.
Wanrong County, known as its abundant resources, which provide a large number of raw materials for mushroom production, in each year, more than 1 billion bags of Shiitake stick could be produced by waste fruit tree branches. In recent years, the county has been relying on actual situation, adjusting measures to local conditions, regarding mushroom cultivation as the main carrier that could adjust industrial structure, develop facility agriculture and increase farmer’s income.
This year, the county has newly built more than 800 mu of Shiitake base and produced more than 6 million sticks. What’s more, 22 Shiitake cooperatives covering more than 1200 mu have been established. It is apparent that Shiitake cultivation has become the significant channel for the masses to generate income.
