By report, at present, underwood Shiitakes in Baizhuang Village, Hebei Province, China have entered into the picking season. According to information, this year, the village totally cultivated 400 mu land of Shiitake, based on rough calculation, more than 2500 kg of Shiitake could be produced in one mu of land, to calculate by present market price of 3.5-4 CNY per kg, after going out cost, the mu income comes to 25,000 CNY and the total revenue could be more than 10 million CNY.
It is understood that Baizhuang Village is a provincial poor village, local mushroom cultivation was introduced in 2012. At present, the village has built mushroom cooperative providing technical guidance, introducing strain, docking mushroom market and other all-around service. What’s more, local agricultural department has also summarized some experiences on Shiitake cultivation and vigorously promoted it in the whole county, which prominently made it become the way to generate revenue.
