Wild mushrooms are in short supply, sales rise rapidly in Tibet, China

It is learned that this year, abundant rain have brought bumper crop of Matsutake and other wild mushrooms. Although the price is lower than the previous years’, the sales volume has gone up rapidly. 55 CNY per kg could be settled for some Matsutake that are in good shape and color. 40 CNY could be settled per kg for some substandard fresh form, one of the distributors indicated that this year, the yield of wild mushrooms is a little bit low. For instance, this year, local total output of Matsutake is about 120 tons, which is extremely hard to meet the needs of the present market.
