As one mushroom farmer explains, cultivating Stropharia rugosoannulata in the field of corncob could achieve remarkable benefits. It is usual to make fungi beds on 20th of June, fruiting will follow after about 45 days. Picking can be arranged in the middle of August and can be continued to the end of October, the general acre production is about 2500kg, harvestable fresh mushrooms could be directly purchased by local companies at the price of 0.9 CNY per kg, to deduct the costs of 3000 to 5000 CNY in each acre (including 3000 CNY of strain, 1000 CNY of base stock and 1000 CNY of labor work), the net income of each acre could reach about 5000 CNY.
