The county is relying on mushroom industry to throw off poverty

In recent years, Pingquan County, Hebei Province has been positively guided farmers to develop mushroom cultivation and relied on mushroom industry to help the poors raise income. Targeting at current situations such as lacking funds, technologies and ability to undertake risks, the county has implemented the poverty alleviation mode of “Zero cost, zero risk and zero distance” and reassured poor households.
Currently, the county owns more than 1510 standardization demonstration gardens, which cover an total area of more than 55,000 mu, enjoy the production capacity of 500,000 tons, the production value reaches 50 billion CNY, which account for 64.1% of total agricultural output value, account for 43% of rural per capita net income and have realized the employment for more than 100,000 farmers.
