Focus on the development of mushroom industry to achieve prosperity

By report, currently, in the modern agricultural park of Hantai City, Shanxi Province, baskets of fresh Shiitakes are being shipped to the goods van and farmers are sharing the joy of harvest. One of poor households revealed that he cultivated 20,000 bags of Shiitake in greenhouse which were offered for free and till now, each flush has helped him earn more than 20,000 CNY.
In recent years, Hantai City has set “Promote farmers to increase income” as the starting point, striven to develop mushroom industry and put effort into ushering in mushroom enterprises which are in large scales and strong forces. As of now, the city has developed more than 10 kinds of mushroom variety and sold 750,000 bags of fungus sack annually, positively established mushroom industry bases and provided 106 poor households with greenhouses and sticks. What’s more, the city has also established 13 professional mushroom cooperatives, provided 2000 posts to jointly develop mushroom cultivation such as Shiitake, Oyster mushroom, Black fungus and it also effectively assisted farmers to increase an income of nearly 20 million CNY.
Now, Hantai City owns more than 100 mushroom production enterprises. In 2015, the city totally cultivated 3.5 million sticks of mushroom and built more than 1700 various greenhouses for mushroom production. The total yield of fresh mushroom reached to 2.8 million kg and the production value reached more than 30 million CNY.
