The special industry of Pleurotus geesteranus improved happiness index for farmers

In order to broaden ways to raise income, the town positively adjusted measures to local conditions, guided the masses to develop the cultivation of mushroom and other characteristic agricultural industry. Among them, Longhuapian Industry of Pleurotus geesteranus has become a new symbol of local characteristic agriculture.
At present, the first batch of Pleurotus geesteranus is nearing completion, in most productive time, 500 kg of Pleurotus geesteranus can be picked per day. Mr.Xun is a local mushroom farmer and he introduced that the picking time of this batch of Pleurotus geesteranus is about 30 days, the wholesale price ranges from 3.5 to 4 CNY, the first batch of Pleurotus geesteranus has helped him to create income of more than 20,000 CNY. Moreover, one fungus sack can produce 6 batches of Pleurotus geesteranus, 30,000 bags of fungus sacks can create income of about 120,000 CNY. What’s more, the picking time of the second batch of Pleurotus geesteranus is coming soon and he doesn’t need to worry about the market. Apart from supplying local markets, some products are also sold to Changsha Mushroom Technology Cooperative.
At present, Mr.Xun owns two greenhouses for cultivating Pleurotus geesteranus. There are lots of local farmers who want to end poverty and become rich by developing the cultivation of mushroom and they have confidence in characteristic agriculture.
