Enlarge varieties and extend industrial chain, mushroom industry is developing dramatically

In recent years, Shizhai Town, Jiangsu Province, China has been continuously strengthened the supporting force of mushroom industry and now, mushroom industry is developing dramatically, which presents the development situation of “Cultivation in the whole village and all households”. So far, 36 villages, 3000 households and more than ten thousand of people have been leaded to engage in Black fungus industry.
Till now, the town has cultivated more than 300 scientific and technological examples, built a team of farmer broker that consists of more than 600 people and initially formed the industrial pattern of “Farmer+Base+leading enterprise”. In addition, mushroom industry of the town has been developed from original Black fungus to Button mushroom, king oyster mushroom, Pleurotus geesteranus and other varieties. Through enlarging varieties and extending industrial chain, the town has improved the market competitiveness. By introducing funds to build mushroom wholesale market, the town has also realized “Buying and selling across the country” and promoted local farmers to increase wealth.
