How to avoid Green Mold when cultivating Ganoderma?

2016-08-30 13:50:14

1. Choose strains which possess anti-random property, strong growth vigor, pure characteristic, moderate fungus age and white, dense and robust characteristics.
2. Clean up cultivation field, clear away fungus residue and garbage of mushroom house, clean cultivation tools thoroughly and conduct strict space sterilization, pay attention to the blind angles of disinfection and reduce propagation media. Cleaning up cultivation place can directly prevent pollution.
3. Strictly select material: compost should be fresh and free from mould. Before using, people could firstly expose under the blazing sun for several days. The preparation of compost should be reasonable. Main ingredients should be well mixed with auxiliary material. People could control the water content in between 60% and 70%. The amount of bagging should be proper and with moderate tightness. After bagging, people could immediately and thoroughly conduct autoclaved sterilization and sterilization under atmospheric pressure to prevent acidification in substrate.
4. Before inoculating, operators could firstly conduct strict disinfection to hands, cloths, tools and materials. The motions of inoculation should be quick and skillful to prevent sundry fungi during the inoculation process. What’s more, broken fungus sacks should be sealed tightly with adhesive tape, the part of sealing should be sterilized with 70% of ethyl alcohol.
5. Moderately increasing inoculation amount can make spawns of Ganoderma quickly occupy the territory by a large margin, which can effectively reduce the pollution rate of sundry fungi.
6. Ensure suitable microclimate in cultivation room. Keep the temperature in about 25 degrees, keep the humidity in between 60% and 70%. People should also pay attention to the ventilation, prevent high temperature and high humidity, create the most suitable environmental condition for the growth of spawns and promote spawns of Ganoderma to grow quickly and occupy the whole surface of material.
7. Fruiting management: when finding that primordiums of Ganoderma, people could timely unplug or open fungi sacks to avoid damaged primordiums. People should also do a great job in keeping temperature, humidity, increasing ventilation and giving certain sunlight to promote primordiums to grow into sporocarps healthily. It should be noted that people should timely pick matured sporocarps.
8. Enhance preventive measures in early stage: when finding Green Mold on the surface of material during the growth stage of spawns, people could scrub infected part with lime water, force out with lime slurry or inject 5% of lime acid liquor. When finding that sporocarps of Ganoderma are infected by Green Mold, people could timely remove infected part to prevent its spreading. Using 0.35g per liter of copper hydroxide to mix material can effectively inhibit the growth of Green Mold.
