The unit price of industrialized King oyster mushroom sunk to 3 CNY per kg

As reported, a few days ago, the market quotation of King oyster mushroom in Yunyang County, Chongqing Province was good, prices remained in high level. However, since the picking and marketing of this May, unit price of King oyster mushroom has sunk to 3 CNY per kg from original 7 CNY per kg, which makes mushroom farmers feel helpless. According to information, affected by the economic downturn of this year, mushroom factories of Yunyang County decreased and local supply declined. But since this May, King oyster mushrooms from other places of China poured into the market of Yunyang County, which lowered the market price of King oyster mushroom, the price of local King oyster mushroom got declined and has sunk to 4 CNY per kg in trade price. At present, the price is 3 CNY per kg. What’s more, each year, it is the peak season for King oyster mushroom to appear on the market from March to June, on that occasion, apparent availability increases and trade price of mushroom declines dramatically. When schools open in September, King oyster mushrooms will be purchased in large quantities by school canteens, price of King oyster mushroom will recover somewhat on that occasion.
