Successfully utilized branches of citrus tree to cultivate Ganoderma

It is usual for many bases to cultivate Ganoderma by Chestunt, but in cultivation base of Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province, Ganodermas that are cultivated by branches of citrus tree are also enjoying desirable growth trends.
According to information, utilizing branches of citrus tree to cultivate Ganoderma is a scientific research project of Quzhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Quzhou City is the big city that engages in the cultivation of citrus and has abundant resources of branches of citrus tree. 80% of branches of citrus tree and 20% of sawdust and bran can form a bag of material, which weight about 15 Jin. In present cultivation of Ganoderma, people could utilize branches of citrus tree and utilize branches of Neem wood and branches of Tallow tree to cultivate Ganoderma, but the yield of the former is higher than the latter.
A calculation goes like this: each acre of land can place 2600 bags of fungus sack, one short cut-log of fungus sack weights about 7.5kg. If the cost of branches of citrus tree is 0.5 CNY per kg, the cost of one acre of short cut-log is about 10,000 CNY. Weight of sawdust and bran is about 2000kg. The cost of bran is 600 CNY, the cost of sawdust is 1400 CNY and amount to 2000 CNY, combine with labor cost which including bagging, sterilization, transportation, inoculation and plastic bags, the total cost is about 20,000 CNY. But one bag can produce 50 to 75g of spore powders, each acre can produce 130kg to 195kg of spore powders. To calculate by the selling price of 150 CNY per Jin on spore powder of Ganoderma, each acre can get an income of 39,000 to 58,500 CNY, the lowest net income of each acre of Ganoderma is about 20,000 CNY.
Now, the technology on utilizing branches of citrus tree to cultivate Ganoderma is gradually applied in local and it will surely become the high grade project which can help farmers increase income and get rich in the future.
