A few days ago, a staff from Tazhong work zone of PetroChina Tarim Oilfield Company Branch found wild mushrooms under some trees, which are covered with sand and nearly have no color and lustre. According to several staffs with 10 work life, it is the first discovery in Hinterland of Takilimakan Desert.
According to information, Hinterland of Takilimakan Desert is located in Tarim basin center of the south Sinkiang. It is the largest desert in China and the world’s tenth largest desert. At the same time, it is also the world’s second-largest flow desert. Affected by wind, sand dunes often make movements and a small amount of plant are existed in the desert.
For the phenomenon of mushroom in desert hinterland, vice station agent of Tazhong Weather Station indicated that maybe it is because of the better greening work in recent years and higher rate of survival on desert plant, which not only played the role of wind prevention and sand fixation, but also improved local climate. Wettability and evident day and night temperature are gradually forming the suitable growing condition of mushroom.
