The development of Shiitake industry is growing vigorously, “women soldiers” are showing appearances

According to information, along with the development of Shiitake industry in Sanligang Town, Hubei Province, Shiitakes are extending from simple cultivation to deep processing. Previous shiitakes are elaborately classified into more than 30 kinds to meet different needs of customers. The amount of enterprises in town increased from 100 to 196 in 10 years, export value has increased from initial 1.2 billion CNY to 13.5 billion CNY. It is worth mentioning that deep processing of Shiitake is a kind of labor intensive work, many women are needed to sort and pack Shiitakes. According to incomplete statistics, at present, the town has 2500 people who is engaging in deep processing of Shiitake, annual revenue reaches to 60 million CNY.
