Guangxi: Edible mushroom industry has a good development trend in the first half of the year

Since the first half of 2014, Guangxi edible mushroom’s market price is showing an increasing trend. Compared with the same period of last year, the price of edible mushroom products has increased in half of the 14 cities. The purchasing price of White mushroom (Agaricus Bisporus) is 6.6 to 14 Yuan per kilogram, the highest price of Oyster Mushroom is 10 Yuan per kilogram, the price of Shiitake is 8 to 14 Yuan, and the price of Pleurotus Geesteranus and Shaggy Mane are 12 to 14 Yuan, which are all higher than the same period of last year.

In recent years Guangxi actively introduces new technologies and modes, through building edible mushroom production professional cooperatives, edible mushroom leading enterprise to achieve large-scale, intensive and standardized edible mushroom production. From 2013 to 2014, the fresh mushroom output has reached 1.2 million tons with the value of 10 billion Yuan.
