Guizhou: mushroom cultivation becomes an important way to cast off poverty and get rich

It is reported that Guizhou Province, Huashan Village is being obstructed by mountains throughout the year, which resulted in inconvenient traffic, stagnant industry and lower income. In order to change the present situation, local government introduced edible fungus cultivation and helped farmers open up new channels to increase income. Under the leadership of edible fungus industry, the annual incomes of Huashan villagers reached 6400 CNY in 2014, more than 80 farmers overcame poverty. By the end of 2015, edible fungus base of Huashan Village reached more than 1200 mu, 6 cooperatives has been built, the annual income reached 31 million CNY.
